STUDENT CLUB

Bioverse, is a bioclub in the Department of Biotechnology that thrives on student-driven initiatives, fostering a vibrant community dedicated to exploring and advancing the fascinating realms in the field biotechnology. The inauguration of Bioverse took place on 20th December, 2023 during the DSCE PULSE - Talents day event at C D Sagar Auditorium which was initiated and organized by Dr. Akshatha Prasanna with the support and guidance of Head of the Department Dr. N. Rajeshwari.

Brief Introduction about the Bioclubs:

  • Swastha : Swastha means "health" in Sanskrit, a dynamic community committed to elevating lives through the principles of holistic well-being that encompasses physical health, mental well-being, and personal growth. Swastha provides a platform for students to connect, collaborate, and support each other on their wellness journey. Whether one enjoys invigorating workouts, stress-relieving yoga sessions, or outdoor activities with fellow students, the club provides a variety of options to keep oneself energized and focused. Swastha is on a mission to bring delicious and nutritious products that redefine the snacking experience. The various activities planned by Swastha includes yoga sessions, nutrition workshops, health awareness campaigns, seminars by experts in the field etc. With firm belief in the power of informed choices, balanced nutrition, and active living, Swastha embarks on a journey to embrace a healthier, happier life experience.
  • Ekya : Ekya, a club dedicated to harnessing the power of biotechnological advancements for constructive impacts and societal upliftment. As the club fosters interdisciplinary collaborations with other departments and organizations, it levies collective expertise to create innovative solutions for real-world challenges. Exploring the frontiers of biotechnological innovations through workshops, seminars, and hands-on sessions, Ekya wishes to apply biotechnological solutions to projects that have a direct and positive impact on communities, ranging from healthcare to environmental sustainability. The club not only enables one to develop a strong foundation in biotechnological skills but also stay at the forefront of industry trends. Being a part of initiatives that directly contribute to the betterment of society through biotechnological applications while connecting with professionals, researchers, and fellow students passionate about utilizing biotechnology for positive change.
  • Paryavarana : Paryavarana, the environmental club of the Department of Biotechnology. A community of enthusiastic students committed to making a positive impact on the environment through meaningful activities and projects. From revitalizing and preserving local water bodies to taking efforts to promote waste segregation and recycling, composting to turn organic waste into nutrient-rich compost to awareness rallies and drives, they do it all. The club aims to restore lakes for a healthier ecosystem, reducing landfill waste to promote a circular economy, fostering a responsible approach towards waste management within our community and engaging the larger community in sustainable practices. Paryavarna promises a practical experience through active participation in eco-friendly projects while connecting with like-minded individuals who share a passion for environmental stewardship. Paryavarana focuses on projects that contribute to sustainable practices and promote a harmonious relationship with nature.
