NEWS & EVENTS

Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos Theory in Engineering with Applications in Control Systems and Signal Analysis

Dr. C. Anil Kumar, Dr. C. K. Narayanappa, Prof. Rekha Krishna, Dr. K. R. Varalakshmi, and Dr. S. Ashwini, along with their co-authors, published a research paper titled “Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos Theory in Engineering with Applications in Control Systems and Signal Analysis” in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics.

Tunnel Field Effect Transistors

In the area of intellectual property, Dr. Nithin Kumar N. R., Dr. Dinesha P., and Dr. Madhura R. were granted an Indian patent for their work on Tunnel Field Effect Transistors, while Dr. Dinesha P. and team filed another patent on a Driver-Calibrated Brake Drag Detection and Alarm System.

Embedded Roots 2025

IEEE SPS DSCE Student Chapter, in association with the Department of ECE, organized the workshop “Embedded Roots 2025” on 8th December 2025. The beginner-friendly workshop focused on hands-on learning in IoT and Embedded Systems, providing students with practical exposure to microcontrollers, sensors, interfacing techniques, and debugging strategies.

Humanoid Robot Controlled by Real-Time Image Processing

Students of the 7th semester ECE department, Edwin C Daison (1DS22EC069), Eshwar L N (1DS22EC071), Sudharshan D Pai (1DS22EC223), and Sujith M S (1DS22EC227), secured First Prize in the Project Expo organized by HKBK College of Engineering for their project titled “Humanoid Robot Controlled by Real-Time Image Processing,” developed under the guidance of Dr. Pavithra.

ICAISMART 2025

Gowtham O R (1DS23EC079), a 5th semester student, presented a research paper at the ICAISMART 2025 International Conference held at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bengaluru.

RISK RIDERS

Team “RISK RIDERS,” mentored by Dr. Jamuna S and Dr. Deepa N. P., comprising Vikith U S, Swasthik Kotian, Yashika C, Vishruth, Gowri Bandak, Aditya, Harshitha A, and Ritika Shetty, was selected for the second round of the prestigious 1-TOPS program.

Smart India Hackathon 2025

Team Point Blank, including Shubhang Sinha (ECE) and interdisciplinary team members, won a prize money of ₹1,50,000 at Smart India Hackathon 2025 – Software Edition.

Industrial Visit to ART-PARK

The Department of ECE organized a one-day industrial visit to ART-PARK (ART-Garage) on 16th December 2025. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Sreenath Settur, Dr. Jamuna S, Dr. Deepa N. P., Dr. Suma M. R., Dr. Manasa R., Dr. Madhura R., Prof. Navya Holla, Prof. Sowmya P., Prof. Chaitra S., Prof. Kavita Guddad, and Prof. Ravi Kumar S. Students attended technical talks on robotics, autonomous systems, embedded systems, and startup ecosystems, followed by a guided tour of ART-PARK facilities

IConSCEPT 2025

Dr. Jamuna S and Hannan Ashrafi (JRF) received a Best Paper Award at IConSCEPT 2025 for their work in the VLSI Design and Embedded Systems track.

NPTEL

Dr. Deepa N. P. achieved multiple recognitions from NPTEL, including Discipline Star, Motivated Learner, and Believer awards.

Research Conclave 2025

Dr. P. Vimala received a Certificate of Research Recognition at Research Conclave 2025 organized by DSCE.

Embedded and IoT

A three-day Skill Development Program on Embedded and IoT was conducted from 4th to 6th December 2025 in association with TechnoVeda Solutions. The program featured hands-on sessions led by Dr. Sandeep Chapalkar and Mr. Kotresh Mundrungi.
