In December this year, the department of information science engineering organised the inauguration of the pre-placement activity for the year 2021-22. This report addresses the outcome of the event. Led by the Vice President of the Placement Cell Mr .M N Guru venkatesh, set in motion by the Vice Principal and HOD of ISE, Dr Udaya Kumar Reddy K R and co-ordinated by Placement coordinators Mrs Bhavani K & Mrs Latha A P, the event brought in a positive influence into the students to push the boundaries and reach beyond the standards set for future placements.

The Dept of ISE, DSCE organized a Technical Talk on “Introduction to cyber security and Ethical Hacking “on 15th December 2021, in CD Sagar Auditorium. The event started at 2:00 PM with an invocation song by Ms.Shrirangini from 5B. The Resource person Mr. Samarth Bhaskar Bhat, Technical Director, Reverse Engineering Infosec was introduced by Mr. Ahmed Fadil and Ms. Lakshitha Ravichandra from 3A. This was followed with a welcome address by Dr. Uday Kumar Reddy K R, Vice Principal and HOD - Dept of ISE. The event was attended by more than 65 students of 3rd and 5th semester ISE students and 3rd semester MTech-CNE Students belonging to Computer Network and Cyber security-Special Interest Group.

Resource person: Mrs. Simerjeet Kaur, A PGDBM HR and MCA, with over 13 years of diversified experience in Human Resources. Project Management and SAP. The Department of Information Science and Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering had conducted a webinar on “Data Structures and its Applications-Industry Insight” on October 3rd 2020 at 12:00 pm to 01:00 pm, in Google Meet.
The guest speaker was Mr. Swapnil Tiwari, Android Software Developer Engineer, Flipkart, Bangalore. Dr. Suma V, Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering accompanied the meeting.
Dr. Suma V, Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering welcomed the resource person, Mr. Swapnil Tiwari to the attendees. Mr. Swapnil was introduced to all by Mr. Dheemanth Urs R, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Science and Engineering, DSCE.
Dr. Suma V, Professor of ISE department had emphasized on the importance of Data Structure and it’s applications in the lives of budding Engineers and advised the students to acquire the knowledge from the webinar organized.
Mr. Swapnil Tiwari delivered a technical session on Data Structure and Applications- Industry Insight, in which he emphasized on the various important building blocks of Data Structure, namely Stack, Queue, Linked List, Tree, Graphs, Real Time examples, and product development ideas.
The Hon. Speaker engaged the audience by interacting with them and drawing real life examples for each of the topics he was talking about.
The attendees were of Third Semester Information Science and Engineering students. The event had strength of 120 students of 3rd semester A section and B section students.
Mr. Dheemanth Urs R, Assistant Professor, ISE Department delivered the vote of thanks to the Chief Guest. The Webinar concluded at 1:10 pm.

Workshop on Artificial Intelligence using Python.
DSCE ISE ACM Student chapter of Department of Information Science and Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering hosted a workshop on Artificial intelligence using python with the collaboration of BRAIN O VISION India Pvt. Ltd… from 14th to 19th of September. The contest was open to all the ACM chapter members and 5th-semester students of Information science department.
