Students of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department received the Best Project of the Year Award in the 44th Series of Student Project Program (SPP), KSCST (IISc, Bangalore) – 2021
Shalom Kingson, Final year student ,Dayananda Sagar college of Engineering,Department of Telecommunication Engineering and founder of Carbonhubs – a startup that works on controlling air pollution- had started his research on microbial disinfection long before the outbreak of Covid-19. “My idea was to prevent the cycle of infection like cold or cough among a group of people, be it at a school or an organisation, using an air purifier. The air purifier I initially devised trapped the bacteria or virus present in a closed space and prevented it from spreading to others,” Kingson said
Voice Commands for Home Appliances
Two students of Dayanand Sagar engineering college, bengaluru have developed an appthat can control various devices from anywhere through voice based commands. "For senior citizens and physically challenged persons switching on a light or fan won't be easy," said Sundarramurthi M and his classmate Kruthi chandrashekar, second year engineering students. With technological advancement, life can be made easier for differently abled said the students.
