MOU with Decibels Lab Pvt Ltd
Department of Automobile Engineering, DSCE and Decibels Lab Pvt Ltd, Bangalore have signed a MoU on 1.12.2023. This agreement would benefit the students of diversified domains of DSCE, it would enhance faculty research, jointly conduct FDP and hands on training all on the domain of Electric Vehicle Technology

The Joint Training Center was inaugurated jointly by Dr. C.P.S Prakash Principal DSCE and Mr. Abhijit Kalianpur, BOSCH Senior General Manager, after sales / training. An initiative taken by the department in establishing Skill Development Centre (SDC) as part of departmental PROFICIENCY CENTER in collaboration with M/s BOSCH to train the students on Automotive Systems.
A Webinar on “Exhaust Gas Treatment for On-Road Vehicles” was organized bythe department 9th of June 2020. Mr.SreejithPrakash from BOSCH delivered the lecture.
BOSCH- “TRAIN THE TRAINER” PROGRAM
Naveena B E - Assistant Professor, Vijay T - Assistant Professor, Mahesh M R - Lab Instructor of Department of Automobile Engineering attended Four days of “Train the Trainer” programme on 24th and 25th of March 2017 and 3rd - 4th of April 2017 on “Auto Electrical” systems and “Engine Diagnosis” respectively as a part of our MOU on BOSCH-DSCE joint certification program at M/S BOSCH, Naganathapura training centre, Bangalore.
BOSCH JCP on ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Two days joint certification programme on Engine Management Systems was conducted on 19-11-18 and 20-11-2018. A total of 20 students from Automobile attended the programme. Successful students were given certificates.
BOSCH JCP on VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS
Two days joint certification programme on Auto Electrical Systems was conducted on 09-05-18 and 10-05-2018. A total of 10 students from Automobile and Mechanical attended the programme. Certificates were distributed to successful students.
BOSCH JCP skill development training programs
BOSCH JCP skill development training programs on Vehicle diagnostics and Auto Electrical systems were conducted during 10/8/17 & 11/8/17, 20/9/17 & 21/9/17 and 31/8/17 & 1/9/17 respectively.
BOSCH JCP on ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS
Two days training programme on Engine Diagnostics was conducted on 10th and 11th of August 2017 for students. 12 Students from Dayananda Sagar Institute of Technology (Polytechnic), 10 students from DSCE, Automobile Dept., and 01 from Bangalore Institute of Technology attended the programme. The training was conducted by G G Venkatesh of BOSCH along with BOSCH trained trainers from our Department Naveena B E, Asst. Professor and Vijay T, Asst. Professor. The following topics were covered during training with On Board Diagnostics (OBD).
Operating instructions, maintenance, troubleshooting guidelines in solving the major electrical faults using Bosch equipment’s (KTS 570) and supporting software on petrol and diesel engine versions. Certificates were distributed to successful candidates after conducting test.
MOU with TOYOTA
MOU signed between TOYOTA and Dayanandasagar College of Engineering on 15.02.2019 for promoting industry-institution activities for students.
DSCE-TOYOTA Centre of Excellence has been established for enhancing technical knowledge of the students. Institution activities for students. M/s Toyota has provided the Innova engine with transmission and chassis of Fortuner vehicle. Aid of these models, students will be trained to understand the real orientation of the assembled engine, transmission and chassis systems including the dismantling and re-assembling techniques, while enriching their learning experience and making classroom learning more interesting and interactive.

“DSCE-TOYOTA CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE” was inaugurated by Mr. Rohan Prem Sagar, Member, Governing Council, DSCE and Presided by Sri. Galiswamy Secretary, DSI on 2-12-2019.
Inauguration of DSCE-TOYOTA Center of Excellence was held on 4th February, 2019 in the Department of Automobile Engineering, DSCE. Mr. Naveen Soni, Vice President, Toyota Motors Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Sailesh Shetty, Vice President, Toyota Motors Pvt. Ltd. were Chief Guests, Presided by Sri. Galiswamy, Secretary, DSI. Dr. C P S Prakash, Principal, DSCE, Dr. Ramakrishna, Vice Principal, DSCE Dr. Rameshbabu, Vice Principal, DSCE and Dr. H N Suresh, Prof. & HOD, Automobile Engineering, were the other dignitaries present.
MOU with VOLVO
DSCE-VOLVO Centre of Excellence
Volvo Group India Private Limited has signed an MOU with DSCE Automobile Engineering Department on 25.9.2017 and established DSCE-VOLVO Centre of Excellence. Mr. Niklas Gustafsson, Chief Sustainability Officer, Volvo Group and Chairman, Volvo Group India Private Limited, Kamal Bali, President and Managing Director, inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in the Automobile Engineering Department.

Volvo Group India Private Limited handed over ‘Driveline model’ to DSCE. As a part of enhancing the academic excellence VOLVO Group presented a working model of in-line 6 cylinder 10.8 litre GH11E engine with 12 speed gear box to the department. From this model we are confident that the students would gain better insight into the complexity associated with the various essential parts of vehicle power systems and different levels of operations associated with automotive functional mechanisms.

MOU with BMW
BMW Skill Development Centre
Entered into an MOU between DSCE Automobile Engineering Department and BMW on 27.7.2018 under BMW’s Skill Next program, which is a unique technical initiative under which the BMW India donated Twin-power turbo inline 4-cylindered 2L diesel BMW engine with transmission to our college.

Faculty and Staffs were trained by BMW to enhance the skill sets. The advancements in new engine are used as a part of core automotive subjects. Ultimately this engine enhances the understanding, connectivity of various systems and their components to improve skill sets and enhance employability.

MOU with KASSIA
MOU signed between and Dayanandasagar College of Engineering on 15.02.2019. Dr. CPS Prakash, Principal, DSCE and Karnataka Small Scale Industry Association (KASSIA) signed an MOU on 15-02-2019 for encouraging start up and entrepreneurship activities for students. Dr. H Ramakrishna, Vice Principal and Dr. H N Suresh, Professor and Head, Department of Automobile Engineering was also present during the occasion.
