Guest Lecture
A guest lecture was organized by the Chemical Engineering Association on 9th October 2019. Mr. Hemanth L.R, Research Student at Hiroshima University, delivered a talk on Applications of nano materials and preparation in chemical process. The students of III, V and VII semesters attended the talk.
Invited Talk on opportunities for chemical Engineering graduates in various industrial sectors.
Ms. Vandana K V, 2016 alumnus of the department, currently working in Pepsi, Seattle, interacted with the final year students motivating them and guiding them on the opportunities for chemical Engineering graduates in various industrial sectors.
Guest Lecture On “Chemical Engineers-Future Prospects”

As a part of Women’s day special, a guest lecture was organized by ChEA on 8th March 8, 2018. Ms Anshu Gupta, Director, Nova Global, gave lecture on the topic “Chemical Engineers-Future Prospects”. The program started with welcome speech by Prof Deepa H A. The session was very interactive. Students interacted with the speaker and were enlightened with the scope of chemical engineers in core chemical and allied industries. The use of soft skills were discussed in the presentation. Ms Anshu Gupta suggested passed out students to undergo soft skill training program. This will help the students for the placement. It was also suggested to have industry institute interaction programs. The event was conducted in a class room and all final year and pre final year students were present for the lecture. Some of the faculty members were also present for the program. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr.B.R.Veena

Invited talk on challenges and career opportunities in the Chemical Engineering field.
An Interaction was arranged with Dr. H S Muralidhara, Vice President, Cargill Research Centre, Minnesota, USA on 20th January 2017 at Dr. C K Prahalad Hall, DSCE, for 4th semester students.
Dr. H S Muralidhara discussed about the challenges and career opportunities in the Chemical Engineering field.
